Welcome to the dedicated community of donors who work together to support The Bartlett School! There are many ways that you can help with the continuing efforts to make The Bartlett School's Mission a reality. Benefits of a Bartlett School Education
The Bartlett School prides itself on its commitment to excellence in education. The School has always instilled strong values, a love of learning, leadership, and a sense of responsibility in its students. A strong foreign language program starting with three-year-olds through Sixth Grade, varied arts offerings, and a social competency program distinguish a Bartlett School education. Also, the School includes students, parents, and faculty and staff from a variety of backgrounds, bringing social and economic diversity to our involved community. As we develop new programs, our greatest strength is our creative and talented faculty. We must provide them classroom materials that excite and challenge our students each year.

Bartlett's Sources of Funds
In virtually all independent schools the Annual Fund is essential to fulfilling the institution's mission and in providing for yearly balanced operations. Although we strive to keep the cost of tuition within reach of most families, it covers only 80% of the cost of a Bartlett education. Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund make up the balance. As an independent school receiving no support from the federal or state government, The Bartlett School must rely on the Annual Fund to balance the budget.

Why doesn't the School simply raise the cost of tuition?
Tuition is not tax deductible. By giving charitable contributions to make up the difference between cost and revenue, the Annual Fund makes it possible to keep tuitions lower and attract more families from a wider range of backgrounds to benefit from a Bartlett education. Parents are expected to support the Annual Fund, according to their means, with tax-deductible gifts.

A Strong Community
Giving at The Bartlett is one example of our strong community, with everyone working together to carry out the School's Mission. Gifts to the Annual Fund allow each new generation of Bartlett students a chance to receive the caliber of education that students before them received.
